17th Century "Paintings"
In March of 2012, Sonja wanted to do something completely different for a Terminatryx photo shoot.
Not your thematically accurate band pictures, promo shots or live stills, but rather an artistic / experimental shoot
based on classic paintings like that of Johannes Vermeer and others.
The photographer of choice? Dr-Benway of course.
With the overall look, themes, wardrobe, poses, decor, lighting and general styling paying homage to these paintings,
it is a complete departure from the established Terminatryx look, and while it doesn't represent the band's image,
they are always open to doing something different, even if it is a once-off artistic expression.
South African stylish magazine De Kat was approached to publish some of these shots. They loved it and included 3 of the images for a piece on Terminatryx in their Nov / Dec issue of 2013.
(print copies of De Kat magazine is only available at Exclusive Books, on mail-order or on-line).
